Hannah's Story
From music to movies, Hannah has explored every faucet of creativity she could get her hands on. Each expression revealing a different side of who she was, who she was meant to be. Midway through college, she discovered another creative outlet, one that might just end up surprising her, becoming her passion... Painting!
At first, Hannah thought this would just be a hobby. I mean, come on, she did discover this love in an elective class... her last year of college. It was a creative inspiration tool, a way to relax, not a full time gig. She had so many other dreams and passions. It wasn't part of the plan. It couldn't be, right?
Little did she know, after college it would become the thing that she was craving to do every second she could. At first it was just her way of expressing the huge emotions she was having after leaving college, leaving all her friends, and moving all the way to Atlanta. But then it started to build into something more.
She got a job at her local Painting with a Twist and began TEACHING classes on how to paint different images. It was like jumping into the deep end with blind hope that somehow she would be able to not only paint, but paint in a two hour time span AND teach a room of 40 people to do the same painting. It was scary... at first, but then it became routine. The repetition of painting gave her the confidence and skill to paint anything that was put in front of her. Not only that, but her work was less perfectionistic. She didn't have time to make the paintings perfect, just enough time to do it and teach it. It was exactly what she needed. At that same time, in her free time she was watching classes and videos - anything she could get her hands on - to learn more about oil paints, solvents, techniques anything and everything. Her skills where skyrocketing, and becoming an artist was an idea that was turning in her mind.
During her time at painting with a twist, she wasn't painting much of her own art. She did one or two pieces, but it wasn't until she quit that job that she ended up painting her own work more and more. Now Hannah is a creative, so when she quit she began pushing to do more in all her creative outlets. She directed a short film, started a Youtube channel, worked on a TV pilot episode, AND painted every second she could get. As time went on, Hannah began building an art fair display tent. It was like the more she did, the more she was drawn back to this idea of creating a business with all these skills she was building and "becoming an artist" finally sounded doable. So the work began.
She spent MONTHS, building her art fair display and creating a range of paintings that she could fill it with. And on June 17, 2023 she did her very first art fair at the Zoo of Atlanta. It was incredible...
...and just the beginning.
Now, Hannah is continuing to pursue painting as a career! Ahh crazy, right? She is so excited about this new season of painting and sharing her work wherever she can.
